In Alexander Technique classes, I use gentle touch and verbal instructions to guide you through a new experience of coordinated movement. The Alexander Technique is a process of mind-body re-education that teaches us to undo unnecessary, habitual tensions. Through simple activities, you learn to let go of immediate reactions of physical and mental tension and to allow new possibilities of movement and thought to occur. You learn to direct your energies in a way that leads to a natural, easy way of being and moving without strain or fatigue.
Private classes are adapted to each individual’s particular interests and concerns, and group classes are a fun and dynamic way to experience the Alexander Technique. The Technique can benefit people of any age.
